As at 1st April 2016 Renew Leeds Ltd and GIPSIL Leeds reached an agreement on a transfer of staff and services.
Both parties are delighted at this successful outcome which means that key services for young people are maintained and that staff will be joining an organisation that is already established in the Leeds Community and has a growing and exciting portfolio of services which includes:
- A more integrated housing support service for young people as part of the wider Flagship programme
- The delivery and development of learning, support and counselling services for young people and their families and carers delivered in partnership with schools and Children's Services
- Provision of employability support in key sectors and action to increase the supply of job and training opportunities for local people by working with employers and strategic bodies
- Development of more social and affordable housing
The transfer of services and expertise will enable GIPSIL to sustain and extend its remit across the City and augment its innovative work with Third Sector Leeds and key organisations such as Leeds City Council and Leeds Community Foundation.
