Young Lives Leeds
Young Lives Leeds is a partnership project between re'new and Voluntary Action Leeds, funded by Leeds City Council.
We support the Third Sector to improve the lives of children, young people and families in Leeds, by giving organisations the voice, information and advice they need to build better services.
Our team of workers specialise in supporting organisations working with children and young people. We work with organisations to help them develop, engage, have a voice and an influence, collaborate and network and stay informed.
Services
Development
Our Capacity Build Workers support organisations with their planning, governance issues, finding and applying for funding, quality assurance, collaboration, monitoring and evaluation, and development of policies and procedures and much more.
Engagement
Our Coordinator and Development Worker facilitate regular Young Lives Leeds forum and subgroup meetings, and one off events. These provide opportunities for third sector organisations to engage in discussions and consultations that contribute to the shaping of children’s services both centrally and at locality levels, and within both children’s and youth services.
Voice and Influence
We facilitate a process where our members are elected to represent the Third Sector at a strategic level in Children’s Services.
Information
Young Lives Leeds provides up to date and relevant information to members through a range of media. We provide a monthly newsletter and regular e-bulletins to keep organisations in the loop about policy, training, funding and networking opportunities
Collaborate and network
Through one-to-one work with groups, planning and hosting joint events, initiatives and training we encourage opportunities to network, work collaboratively and share good practice.
